The artist couple Ella & Pitr met eachother on the street. They are working and living in the French Saint-Etienne and make works in different mediums. From drawings and enormous murals to video art and prints. Their big artistic interventions are characterized by the romantic, the nostalgic and childlike. In their work they illustrate people that they meet on the street. On the parking near Oosteroever they painted a woman in a bikini, wearing an Ensor mask. This absurd feeling for humor is typical for the duo. This is the largest floor painting ever made in the Benelux. A large team was mobilized to create this work: for ten days, every day about five persons were working on it. Ella & Pitr have a drone, but they only use it to take a picture of their finished artworks. They decide on the perspective ahead of taking these pictures.
The love between Ella & Pitr is very obvious, there is a great dynamic between them. They just can’t do anything else but be creative, which can be seen in all kinds of trails they leave in the streets. Saint-Etienne is full of their stickers. In the street around the corner where they live, are more than 400 stickers of pies for friends who were having their birthday.
