After the overwhelming success of the first The Crystal Ship, the preparations for this year’s edition are in full swing.

During the first week of the Belgian Easter Holidays more than 20 (inter)national artists will overtake the city and proudly present their work to the public on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of April. Reputable names such as Axel Void, Phlegm, Alexis Diaz, Henrik Uldalen and C215 will leave a permanent mark on the city by the sea.

Mayor Johan Vande Lanotte: “With over 50.000 visitors to The Crystal Ship, we did not hesitate to invite The Crystal Ship for a second year in a row, instead of bi-annually. We want to put Ostend on the map as a European travel destination in the field of public art. We have the ambition to collect 60 works of internationally prestigious artists in our city by 2018.”

The line-up includes world-renowned names from a wide spectrum of contemporary and public practices.
