Zio Ziegler @ The Crystal Ship 2016

Zio Ziegler’s complicated paintings and murals can be seen in different parts of the world, but especially in bigger cities of the United States, Europe and Asia.

He’s actually not really a street artist, rather a contemporary artist in the broad sense of the word. His work is inspired by art of the late middle ages and the renaissance, but you can also see influences of Aboriginals and African art. The subjects reflect the human condition with references to the allegorical, mystic and artistic descent of humans. The background of the work are concreted windows, so there is relief in the work. This also means that the perspective had to be right from multiple viewing angles.
